Recently, a Tik Tok creator went viral for re-telling the story of how she ditched her date because he didn’t want to pay three dollars for a slice of cheese on his hamburger. When ordering his burger, her date asked the server if cheese was extra. The server told him it would be an additional three dollars. He chose to forego the cheese. When the waitress left, he commented that you have to pay extra for everything these days. 

“Yes. This is New York City.” She said it with the disdain of speaking to a tourist in Times Square. They finished their meal, and she excused herself and went to the ladies’ room, purse in hand. She discreetly approached their waitress, paid the bill in total, and left. When she got home, she sent him a text that said, “You should have ordered the cheese.” Then she blocked him.
