There’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to vet their date. Before the first date, women tend to vet for reasons associated with physical or emotional safety. Men vet for physical and emotional compatibility.
What you describe doesn’t sound like vetting to me. Rather, it sounds like a test. He sends a laundry list of must-have criteria and then waits to see how you respond. Will you be deterred? Intimidated? Argumentative?
Everybody should have their must-haves and deal breakers. However, that list should only be a starting point. Not the end goal.
