"Why men don't ask questions on first dates?" I would like to ask the same thing about women.
Out of 7 women I went out with on dates since the pandemic happened, only one asked any deeper questions about me (But to be fair - that one asked about a lot and was not afraid at all to discuss difficult issues and ask hardball questions). The other 6 spent the first date with just small talk, most also spent the 2nd date on smalltalk and avoided asking or answering any personal questions about their lives, families, etc.
