Why you shouldn't give men your socials

Imagine if the only thing you had to worry about was if your date posted old photos.

Tiktok creator Esteeisonline vents about a recent experience with a man she met on a dating app. In the video, she shares that the man asked for her Instagram account. She reluctantly gave it to him, only for the guy to block her soon after.

Requesting access to social media pages is a common step in dating online. Men and women both do it. The difference is in their motivations. Women want access to ensure their date doesn't pose a threat, be it emotionally or physically. Men ask for socials to determine one of two things:

  •  What her body looks like from different angles

  • How much attention does she seek or receive from other men?

In this episode, we discuss why such a request from a straight man is a red flag. It reveals shallowness and entitlement. Whether it's a picture or in real life, men possess an entitlement to access women's bodies.

We also discuss burt_britt's storytime about a recent hinge date that would make any woman stop dating for good.
